Synopsis
En Magal is a 1954 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. V. R. Acharya and M. K. R. Nambiar.
The film stars Ranjan, M. N. Nambiar, and S. Varalakshmi.
The plot revolves around Raghu, a zamindar's son who dislikes his arranged marriage to Vasantha (the mirasdar's daughter). He becomes infatuated with Mallika after she marries Balu but continues to pursue her. Simultaneously, he attempts to seduce Ranjana, a dancer resisting his advances and trying to reform him.
A dramatic sequence occurs where Raghu kidnaps Mallika; her husband Balu and friend intervene in the rescue attempt. During this conflict, Raghu is seriously injured by a knife thrown by Mallika and admitted to hospital. Vasantha visits him upon hearing of his condition.
The film was released on 25 October 1954.
