Synopsis
En Bommukutty Ammavukku is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Fazil and produced by his brother Baskar.
The movie stars Sathyaraj and Suhasini in the lead roles, with Raghuvaran, Rekha, and Geetu Mohandas also part of the cast.
The story revolves around Lakshmi and Vinod, a couple who tragically lost their daughter in an accident and subsequently decide to adopt a girl from a local orphanage. However, the plot takes a turn when the child's biological parents, Mercy and Alex, seek her out.
The film is a remake of Fazil's own 1983 Malayalam film Ente Mamattukkuttiyammakku.
The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
The film was released on 15 April 1988.
