
Em Magan is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language family drama film directed by Thirumurugan and written by himself.
The film stars Bharath, Gopika, and Nassar in lead roles, with Vadivelu, Saranya Ponvannan, and Gajala appearing in supporting roles.
The movie follows the story of Emtan (Nassar), a strict father who runs a provision shop in a village. His son Krishna (Bharath) is a student of poultry science who helps his father in the shop.
The film explores their relationship and the challenges faced by Krishna due to his father's short-tempered nature.
The music for Em Magan was composed by Vidyasagar, with cinematography by Sevilo Raja and editing by Jeyakumar.
Upon its release on 7 September 2006, the film received positive critical reception and became a commercial success. It was also remade in Kannada as Putra (2011).
