Synopsis
Ellam Unakkaga is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Adurthi Subba Rao from a story by Aatreya.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and Savitri, and was released on July 1, 1961. The plot revolves around Anandan and Venkatachalam's friendship, which is tested when Venkatachalam's daughter Sarala loses her ability to walk after an accident.
Following a doctor's claim that he treated a similarly handicapped woman who was cured through childbirth, Venkatachalam marries off Sarala to Anandan with the condition that if she is not cured within two years, the marriage will be dissolved. The film explores the challenges faced by the characters as they navigate their relationships and personal struggles.
