Devadasi is a 1948 Tamil-language film directed by Manik Lal Tandon and T. V. Sundaram, produced by Sukumar Pictures.
The film stars Kannan as the King's friend, Leela as Devakunjari, R. Balasubramaniam as the spiritual guru, and K. S. Angamuthu as the smart devadasi woman.
The screenplay and dialogues were written by B. S. Ramiah based on the French opera Thaïs. Notable supporting roles include T.S. Durairaj as the King, N.S. Krishnan as a Carnatic musician, and T.A. Mathuram as a Bharathanatyam dancer.
