Deiva Vaakku is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M.S. Madhu and produced by T. Siva. The film stars Karthik and Revathi in its lead roles.
The story revolves around Amsaveni, who possesses the ability to channel the voice of God during a time of drought, earning her the reverence of her village. Her ambitious brother, Vallathar, however, uses this divine gift for personal enrichment when she falls in love with Thambidurai, a man perceived as a drunkard but possessing a kind heart.
Disapproving of their union due to differing social standings and threatened by the potential loss of his income source upon Amsaveni's marriage, Vallathar actively tries to prevent Thambidurai from marrying his sister. The film's soundtrack was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
The movie is a partial remake of the Telugu film Sankeertana (1987) and was released on 11 September 1992.
