Synopsis
Citizen is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Saravana Subbiah and produced by S. S. Chakravarthy.
The film stars Ajith Kumar in dual roles, alongside Meena, Vasundhara Das, and Nagma in supporting roles.
Deva composed the score and soundtrack for the film, while Ravi K. Chandran handled the cinematography.
The movie follows Abdullah, a motorcycle workshop owner who also gives legal advice to locals, as he kidnaps three senior government officials: judge Vedhachalam, collector Santhanam, and freedom fighter Sundaramoorthy.
Abdullah's motives are revealed through clues left by him, which lead the police on a trail of discovery that uncovers a conspiracy dating back many years to an entire village being wiped off the map of India.
