Chikku Bukku is a 2010 Indian Tamil romance film written and directed by G.K.Manikandan and produced by Sunanda Murali Manohar.
The film stars Arya, Preetika, and Shriya Saran in the lead roles, with Santhanam and Anoop Kumar in supporting roles.
The movie is based on the 2003 South Korean movie The Classic. The name of the film is inspired by a song from Gentleman (1993).
The story follows Arjun, a London-based DJ, who returns to his native village in Karaikudi to ensure his ancestral property is not sold. He meets Anu, a woman pursuing her MBA in London, on a train. As they journey towards their respective destinations, they discover a diary belonging to Arjun's father, which reveals the story of Sekar and Meena, two people who fall in love despite class differences.
The film is narrated in a nonlinear manner, with a flashback sequence that takes place in 1985. The contemporary storyline follows Arjun and Anu as they realize their feelings for each other and overcome various hurdles to be together.
