Chakra Dhari is a 1948 Indian Tamil-language film produced by Gemini Studios.
The movie stars V. Nagayya and Pushpavalli, with Gemini Ganesan appearing in a minor role during his acting debut as the film's first appearance marked his acting debut.
Gora, played by V. Nagayya, is a potter near Pandharpur who is a strong devotee of Lord Panduranga but neglects earning money for his family, causing concern for his wife Thulasi.
The plot involves Gora's elder brother Venkat and his wife Sona disapproving of Gora. Tragedy strikes when their child Hari is killed while playing in the village during a moment where Gora is lost in devotional ecstasy.
Thulasi threatens to destroy the idol, but Gora attempts to stop her, leading him to swear he will not touch her again.
The film was re-released one year after its initial release with a new partly coloured print.
