Bilhanan is a 1948 Indian Tamil-language historical drama film directed by K. V. Srinivasan and written by A. S. A. Sami.
The film is an adaptation of the play of the same name, based on the story of the Kashmiri poet Bilhana. It stars T. K. Shanmugam as the title character, along with T. K. Bhagavathi, M. S. Draupathi, T. K. Sivathanu, and "Friend" Ramasami.
The plot revolves around a king who hires the poet Bilhana to teach his blind daughter Yamini. To prevent any romantic feelings from developing, the king tells Yamini that Bilhana is blind and informs Bilhana that Yamini is deformed, placing a curtain between their quarters. When Bilhana sings a poem praising the moon one night, Yamini questions how someone truly blind could compose such verse, prompting her to pull down the curtain and discover Bilhana's true appearance and feelings for her.
