Balamani is based on the novel 'Pakka Thirudan' by Ayyangar. The plot involves a wealthy woman named Balamani who is abducted after a robbery in her palace alongside her fiancé. Upon regaining consciousness in a cave, she finds her fiancé has escaped. She then discovers the corpse of a child and decides to bury it until police mistake her for having murdered the child.
