
Azhagarsamy is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Sundar C and starring Sathyaraj and Roja.
The film tells the story of Thayama, a pregnant woman who receives money from a landlord to save her husband, with whom she later gives birth. The landlord decides to marry Azhagarsamy, his adopted son, to his daughter Suja, an arrogant city girl.
Azhagarsamy marries Suja, he begins to work for her and learns that Thayamma was actually his mother. Thayamma sacrifices her life to save Azhagarsamy from a plot by Vinu Chakravarthy to harm Suja, who is pregnant. In the end, Suja unites with Azhagarsamy.
The film features music composed by Deva and lyrics written by Palani Bharathi. It was released on 10 December 1999.
