Aayiram Poi is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Muktha Srinivasan and written by Cho. The story is based on Cho's novel "Yaaro Ivar Yaaro," which was previously serialized in the magazine Kalki.
The plot revolves around Chinna Durai, who disapproves of his daughter Malathy marrying Ravi due to opposition from Ravi's brother-in-law Kanagasabi. The film follows how Ravi uses his resourcefulness to overcome this challenge and secure Malathy's hand in marriage.
The film stars Jaishankar, Vanisri, Cho, and Manorama. It marks the feature-length debut of Neelu, who had previously acted in theatre. The soundtrack features music composed by V. Kumar with lyrics penned by Kannadasan.
