Avan Amaran is a 1958 Indian Tamil political drama film produced and written by Nagercoil S. Nagarajan under People's Films, directed by S. Balachander, and starring K. R. Ramasamy, P. Kannamba, Rajasulochana, and T. S. Balaiah.
The film was shot at Newtone, Paramount, and Revathi studios in Chennai, with cinematography handled by Nemai Ghosh. The soundtrack features music composed by T. M. Ibrahim, including songs like "Kaalanaa Minjaadhaiyaa" (based on a track from Shree 420) and "Vaanmadhi Nee Arivaai".
Avan Amaran was released on May 23, 1958, but unfortunately failed at the box office.
