Synopsis
Aval Sumangalithan is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Visu and produced by Rajam Balachander and Pushpa Kandaswamy.
The movie stars Karthik, Illavarasi, and Chandrashekhar in the lead roles. The plot revolves around Arumugam, a temple watchman from Kundrathur, who searches for a suitable groom for his daughter Uma through a marriage broker.
Despite Bhaskaran's smoking habit, Arumugam is impressed by his genuine nature and accepts him as the prospective husband. The film was released on 19 July 1985 and was remade in Telugu as Punyasthree (1986).
The musical score for Aval Sumangalithan was composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
