Aval Appadithan is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by C. Rudhraiya in his directorial debut.
The screenplay and dialogue were co-written by Rudhraiya himself, with a significant portion of the dialogue being in English.
Produced by Rudhraiya in association with the M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute, the film features Sripriya, Kamal Haasan, and Rajinikanth in its leading roles.
The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
The plot centers on Manju (played by Sripriya) and her difficulties stemming from romantic relationships, which lead to her developing an aggressive and cynical nature towards men.
Released on 30 October 1978 during Diwali, the film received positive critical reviews but was not a box office success initially upon release.
