Athisaya Piravi is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language fantasy comedy film directed by S. P. Muthuraman and written by Panchu Arunachalam.
The film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role alongside Kanaka and Sheeba Akashdeep, with notable supporting actors including Nagesh, Jai Ganesh, Chinni Jayanth, Cho Ramaswamy, and Vinu Chakravarthy.
The plot revolves around Kaalaiyan, a poor man who falls in love with Sumathi, the daughter of a wealthy landowner named Murukesh. Due to his poverty, Murukesh opposes their union, leading to a series of conflicts that ultimately result in Kaalaiyan's death. His spirit finds itself in the afterlife.
Athisaya Piravi is a remake of the Telugu film Yamudiki Mogudu from 1988 and was released on June 15, 1990.
