Synopsis
Athiradi Padai is a 1994 Indian bilingual action film directed by R. K. Selvamani.
The film stars Rahman, Suman, and Roja, with Lakshmi, Vijayakumar, and Silk Smitha playing supporting roles.
The movie is loosely based on an acid attack on Chandralekha IAS and follows the story of IAS officer Chitralekha (Lakshmi) who refuses to clear public land at a low price. Adiseshan (Puneet Issar), a wealthy individual, tries to halt the investigation by throwing acid on Chitralekha's face and attacking her daughter Bharathi (Roja).
The film follows Bharathi's quest for justice as she receives evidence of Adiseshan's corruption and plans to expose it to the public.
Athiradi Padai was released on 10 February 1994.
