Synopsis
Ashoka is an Indian Tamil-language action thriller film released in 2008. The film was written and directed by Prem Menon, who also stars as Ashoka, a Black Cat commando chief tasked with protecting the Prime Minister of India.
The story begins with Ashoka barely saving the life of the PM at Coimbatore airport from a terrorist ambush. As the PM recovers in the hospital, Ashoka must thwart further attempts on his life.
The film features an ensemble cast, including Anushree, Pooja Bharathi, Raghuvaran, Rajeev, and Anandaraj in supporting roles. The movie was produced by Prem Menon's wife Indira under Lotus Film Company.
