The story follows Sivaraman and Balaraman, two brothers living together without parents, as they navigate their lives and relationships with the help of Pandian's daughter Kannamma.
Sivaraman marries Kannamma despite being unemployed, and they are blessed with a child. However, he borrows money from a lender and absconds, leading to a chase by the creditor.
The film takes a turn when Sivaraman hides in a big house belonging to Zamindar Anandan, where he meets his daughter Bharathi.
