Anthimanthaarai

Anthimanthaarai is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language historical drama film directed by Bharathiraja.

The film stars Vijayakumar and Jayasudha, and is produced by Chandraleela Bharathiraja and Thilaka Ganesh. The movie won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil and features music composed by A. R. Rahman.

Anthimanthaarai tells the story of an aged man Kandaswamy Iyer, a former freedom fighter who pursues a relationship with a young woman named Thang, as he struggles to find his place in society after retirement.
