Synopsis
Anjathe is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Mysskin and produced by Nemichand Jhabak.
The film stars Narain, Prasanna, Ajmal Ameer, and Vijayalakshmi, and follows the story of Sathya and Kiruba, two close friends living in police quarters in Chennai. Sathya is a rowdy who gets into petty fights, while Kiruba studies hard to become a Sub-Inspector.
After a fight, Sathya's father brands him and says he will never join the police force. However, Sathya decides to challenge Kiruba to do the same, leading to an unexpected transformation in his life.
The film was released on 15 February 2008 and became a success at the box office. It was also remade in Kannada as Anjadiru (2009) and is recognized for its innovative composition of frames, selection of shots, and counter meaning in narration.
