Synopsis
Angadi Theru is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Vasanthabalan and starring debutant Mahesh and Anjali.
The title refers to Ranganathan Street in Chennai, where the story takes place. The film features music jointly composed by Vijay Antony and G. V. Prakash Kumar.
Launched on 11 February 2008, the film was released on 26 March 2010 to critical acclaim and box-office success.
The plot follows Jyothi Lingam and Kani as they find shelter in a street where masonry workers are sleeping. A fire engine accident injures them, leading to a flashback that reveals their lives in a village in Tirunelveli.
