Ananthasayanam is a 1942 Tamil language film produced by Krishnaswami Subrahmanyam and directed by himself alongside C.S.V. Iyer and S.D. Subbulakshmi.
The film stars Krishnaswami Subrahmanyam as Diwakarar, a devotee of Vishnu in the form Anantha Padmanabhaswamy, who is forced to marry his niece Sarasa (played by V.N. Janaki). Diwakarar disdains marriage and walks out on the wedding ceremony, embarking instead on a quest for salvation.
The supporting cast includes M.V. Rajamma and G.Pattu Iyer, with Subbulakshmi playing the female lead alongside Janaki.
Madras United Artistes Corporations produced the film under the banner of Krishnaswami Subrahmanyam.
