Amirtham is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by K. Kannan and starring Ganesh and Navya Nair in lead roles.
The film is set in a village called Mukkudal, where devout Brahmin Ramaswamy Iyengar lives with his wife Rukkumani and soft-spoken daughter Amirtha. The story revolves around the love affair between Amirtha and Amirtham, Pasupathi Pillai's son, who returns to the village after completing his engineering degree.
The film explores themes of love, friendship, and social issues as the villagers face the threat of oil drilling in their village. Music is composed by Bhavatharini, cinematography by K. V. Mani, and editing by V. T. Vijayan.
