Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves is a 1941 Tamil-language comedy film directed by K.S. Mani.
The story takes place in Baghdad and revolves around Cassim, a wealthy but miserly man who expels his brother Ali Baba and their mother from the house at his wife's urging.
Ali Baba and his mother are forced into poverty, while a slave named Morgiana (played by T.A. Mathuram) develops feelings for him.
The film stars N.S. Krishnan in the lead role of Ali Baba.
