Adi Thadi is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by T. Shivraj.
The film stars Sathyaraj, Abbas, Napoleon and Rathi, and tells the story of Tirupati, an elderly gangster who falls in love with a schoolgirl named Priya after she wins him over in a beauty contest.
Despite his initial intentions to torture her, Priya's life takes a turn for the worse when Tirupati tries to win her heart through comical measures. With the help of his brother Surya, Tirupati changes his appearance to look younger and enlists the help of Arjun, Priya's boyfriend, to escape from the problems caused by their tumultuous relationship.
The film marks Abbas' role in the movie, which was later remade in Telugu as Political Rowdy in 2005. The Tamil version stars Sathyaraj, Abbas, Napoleon and Rathi, while the Telugu remake features Mohan Babu, Charmee Kaur and Prakash Raj.
