Synopsis
Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Balu Mahendra.
The film features Dhanush and Priyamani in lead roles, alongside supporting performances from Karunas and Delhi Ganesh. The music for the film was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, while Sai Suresh produced the venture.
The movie is a remake of Balu Mahendra's own Malayalam film Yathra. It tells the story of Srinivasan, a convict who escapes from jail and reunites with his childhood friend Thulasi, with whom he falls in love. However, their relationship is complicated by Srinivasan's family disputes.
The film was released on 2 November 2005, coinciding with Diwali, and received a below average response commercially.
