Achamillai Achamillai is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language political drama film written and directed by K. Balachander.
The film stars Jayalalitha as Thenmozhi, a textile worker, alongside her husband Ulaganathan (played by Ulaganathan), who portrays a politician with a similar name to the main character's.
Set in the 80s, the movie revolves around Thenmozhi, married to Ulaganathan, a politician whose rise in politics and corruption leads to Thenmozhi taking drastic action.
The film explores the decline of morality in an idealist who enters politics, alienating his wife in the process.
