Synopsis
Aarumugam is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language masala film directed by Suresh Krishna and written by Rashid Premji.
The film stars Bharath and Priyamani, with Ramya Krishnan, Saranya Mohan, Sathya, and Karunas playing supporting roles. The music was composed by Deva.
The movie is based on the Rajinikanth film Annaamalai (1992), also directed by Suresh Krishna.
Arumugam follows the story of a good Samaritan who makes a living selling idlis on a roadside platform shop along with his family. He is in love with his childhood sweetheart Yamini, and his friendship with the rich Karthik is put to the test when Karthik's sister, the arrogant tycoon Malini Devi, seeks to separate them.
After facing hardships, Arumugam vows to take revenge on Malini and becomes the richest man in the town through hard work and smart moves.
