Aadi Velli is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language devotional film directed by Rama Narayanan and produced by N. Radha.
The movie stars Seetha in the lead role, alongside Nizhalgal Ravi.
Seetha lives near a village temple and shares an unusual bond with an elephant and a cobra who respond only to her command.
The plot centres on Seetha's encounter with the villain Nizhalgal Ravi, who initially seeks to plunder the temple's riches. He befriends her and manipulates events, causing her to fall in love despite initial reservations from the animal spirits she controls.
When Seetha discovers Nizhalgal Ravi's true intentions as a thief, he attempts various schemes with his computer-savvy friend to steal the temple's valuables. However, these plans are repeatedly foiled by her connection to the elephant and cobra.
The film was released on 2 February 1990 and later remade in Kannada as Durgasthami.
