The live-action film adaptation was released in November 2014, distributed by Shochiku, based on the Japanese manga series Hibi Rock written and illustrated by Katsumasa Enokiya.
A live action film adaptation, directed by Yu Irie, was announced in March 2014. The film premiered on November 22, 2014.
