Synopsis
Vedappan is a 2009 Tamil language drama film directed by Aanaivari A. Sridhar.
The film stars Hemanth Kumar, newcomer Apsara, and newcomer Nikitha, with Vennira Aadai Moorthy, Balu Anand, Mahanadi Shankar, Crane Manohar, and Sabitha Anand playing supporting roles.
In the village where Vedappan works at a tea stall owned by Panneer, he is also a hardcore fan of cinema actress Deepika. An aspiring director promises him to make him a hero. Meanwhile, Kanaka falls in love with Vedappan. Vedappan gets a small role in Deepika's film, but during the shooting, he accidentally shoots her with a real gun instead of a replica one.
Deepika is wounded on the shoulder and hospitalized. The police arrest Vedappan, forcing him to reveal the reason for his actions. The film explores Vedappan's journey from being an aspiring hero to facing the consequences of his actions.
The film was released on 9 October 2009.
