Synopsis
Sri Ramanujar is a 1938 Tamil-language biographical film directed by A. Narayanan and produced by Seethalakshmi under Yessel Film Co. and Srinivasa Cinetone.
The movie stars Sangu Subramaniam, N. Seethalakshmi, and N. Ramarathinam in its lead roles.
The film depicts the life story of the renowned Hindu philosopher Ramanuja.
A short film titled Athirshta Nakshathiram was also shown alongside Sri Ramanujar.
Va. Raa wrote the dialogues for the film, while Velappan served as cinematographer and N.K. Gopal handled the editing. Meenakshi Narayanan managed the audiography.
The soundtrack featured lyrics penned by Bharathidasan, with the actors themselves rendering the songs with the company orchestra as background music.
