Poi Saatchi

Poi Saatchi (transl. False Witness) is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language film directed by G. Ramakrishnan and K. Bhagyaraj.

The film stars Bhagyaraj, Radhika, and Sumithra, and was released on September 3, 1982.

Vairavan, played by Bhagyaraj, survives in Madras through perjury and petty theft until he encounters a teenage girl searching for her brother. This event stirs memories of his own past, leading him back to Nellithurai village where he learns that his long-lost sister Sornam is still alive.

Munusamy, a traditional healer from Vairavan's village, informs him that Sornam lives in poverty with her daughter and two children. The film follows Vairavan's journey as he reunites with his sister and confronts the past.
